Thomas A. Rymer, Jr., CPA, President

Tom is the founding member of Rymer & Associates. Tom graduated from University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. After graduation, he was employed by Webster, Phelps & Tarr, P.A., and then opened his own practice with Richard Phelps as Phelps & Rymer, P.A. In 1998, the practice was renamed Rymer & Associates, P.A. Tom has over 30 years experience working in public accounting and specializes in complex business, individual and estate tax matters. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Maryland Association of CPAs.

Martha G. Rymer, CPA

Martha graduated from Mount St. Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. After graduation she came to work for Phelps & Rymer, P.A. and then left to pursue her career as CFO at Calvert Memorial Hospital. In 1998 she returned to Rymer & Associates, PA as a Senior Accountant. Martha specializes in financial analysis of medical practices and offers tax, accounting and consulting services to all of her clients. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Maryland Association of CPAs.

Tracy L. Parrish, Office Manager

Tracy is the Office Manager with Rymer & Associates, P.A. and she joined the firm in 1990. She is the first point of contact for our clients with her high-energy personality and professionalism. Although she has many duties, her emphasis is on excellent client service. Tracy has successfully completed several college courses in Business Administration and is a Notary Public.

Janet L. Haskin, EA, CPA

Janet joined Rymer & Associates, P.A. in 2000 as Senior Accountant. She has over 20 years of public accounting and income tax experience. She provides extensive tax, accounting and consulting services to a wide range of clients, including professionals, construction, and land development companies. Janet is the Quality Control Manager for the firm in addition to being the technical reviewer for all of the firm’s financial statements and is a primary reviewer for the firm’s tax return preparation services. Janet graduated from University of Maryland University College with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. In addition, she is enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Maryland Association of CPAs.

Linda C. Giacone, EA

Linda Giacone is a Staff Accountant with Rymer & Associates, P.A. and began working with the firm in January 2003. Linda graduated from George Mason University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and is enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent. Linda has more than 15 years of experience and provides tax, accounting, and QuickBooks software support services to our clients. She specializes in payroll compliance and prepares quarterly and annual tax returns for our payroll clients. Linda is a member of the Maryland Society of Accountants and the National Association of Enrolled Agents.

Joyce G. Loveless, CPA

Joyce graduated from Catholic University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and later studied accounting at the College of Southern Maryland and the University of Maryland. Joyce has been a CPA since 1998 and began her career in public accounting in Southern Maryland. She then spent several years as a corporate controller before returning to public accounting here at Rymer & Associates, P.A. in 2008. Joyce enjoys working with individuals and small businesses and provides accounting services during the year as well as preparing year end tax returns. Joyce is a member of the Maryland Association of CPA’s and is a Quickbooks ProAdvisor.
